St George's Vets Accident & Emergency
St George's VetsAccident & Emergency

Payment

We discuss the treatment options with you and give you an estimate of the likely cost. If during the course of treatment it becomes obvious that the fees are likely to go above the estimate then you will be contacted. Payment for all treatment is due at the time of consultations. If your pet needs to stay with us a deposit will be taken at the time of admission, the balance payable on collection.

For your convenience we accept payment by cash, cheque (with bankers card), Visa, Access, Switch or Solo. Platinum members of St George's Healthy Pet Club do not need to pay at the time.

Pet Health Insurance

One in 3 pets will require veterinary treatment for illness or accident each year. Your pet may need surgery for broken bones, medication for skin or ear infections, or treatment for arthritis or diabetes, and as treatments become more complex and sophisticated costs inevitably rise and on many occasions can become a limiting factor. For a fraction of the feeding costs for your pet each week you can now insure him or her so that veterinary bills  (with the exception of vaccination  and other elective routine procedures such as neutering) will never exceed the excess that you have to pay towards any treatment. Pet insurance brings you peace of mind  - your pet's health need not be compromised by financial considerations. Take care when selecting a policy - read the small print - avoid policies that have a time limit for payment for any one condition  (such as offered by many supermarkets) - only pay for the cover you actually want, many unwanted  extras just add to the cost.
